Bolt Bus gives passengers extra legroom- they’ve taken a standard couch and removed some of the seats. This results in about three extra inches of legroom per seat. So yes, they’re extra comfy! Stretch out those legs.
No, Bolt Bus does not offer eats or drinks on board. But you’re permitted to bring your own snacks and drinks for your trip. Make sure to purchase snacks and drinks ahead of time! Alcohol is not allowed.
Sorry, no animals will be allowed transport on BoltBus except a legitimate service animal as defined by the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA).
Rebooking services are available only by phone at 1-877-BoltBus (select option #1). Passengers are allowed rebook up to the day prior to the original planned departure between 7 am and 11 pm ET. However, there is a $3 dollar rebooking fee as well as a $2.00 transaction fee plus any fare difference between the old and new.
Located throughout the bus are standard 110-volt plug-ins. To make the trip more enjoyable, plug in your laptops, iPods and portable DVD players, and enjoy the ride! With the onboard power outlets, you can charge both a computer and USB devices with a power outlet USB converter.
The buses are equipped with Wi-Fi but they advise that you download large files and movies ahead of time. The Wi-Fi service is free of charge so enjoy!
They suggest that you arrive at the pickup point a minimum of 15 minutes before departure time. If you purchased an online ticket, please bring your email confirmation (either printed or electronic). You will need to show your confirmation to the driver as it will act as a boarding pass. Riders will board the bus based on their assigned boarding group. Riders with special needs will board first, followed by their loyalty members boarding next, then followed by riders who purchased tickets online. Feel free to sit in any open seat!
You’re allowed one piece of baggage under the coach and two small bags to carry onto the bus. The carry-on bags should be small enough to fit in the overhead bin. It is recommended that you properly tag all of your bags with your name, address, and phone number on the inside. If a bag is left mistakenly behind and is properly marked, Bolt Bus will return it to you free of charge.
They don’t allow the transport of any type of weapon. They also do not allow the transport of hazardous materials such as; acids, alcohol, ammunition, combustible liquids, compressed gases, firearms, fireworks, flammable liquids, or the like.
